When your Google Account gets disabled, you will not be able to access any Google products linked with that particular account. This is quite frustrating as I have recently faced it. Google disable accounts for violation of its Terms of Services (TOS) or product specific Privacy Policies. It means if you have, intentionally or otherwise, violated the policies of any product of Google then your entire account [linked to that one] may get disabled. This becomes all the more irritating if that account is also being used for Adsense and Gmail. What should you do in that scenario?
In almost all cases, Google disables the entire account without giving any warning or notice. This is nothing short of utter ridiculous. You don't know why you are being punished. But, that is how things stand in a monopolistic market. You have to accept it as Google is something that simply can't be avoided. At last, remember that the customer support of Google is really pathetic.
The Simple Procedure to Get Your Disabled Account Back
If you get a message that your account is ‘temporarily disabled’then you will be also asked to do something like giving them your mobile number, or adding a recovery email ID.Do as asked. If they are asking for your mobile number then they will send you a text message. Enter your message at appropriate location and the access to your account will be instantly restored.
When Google thinks that your account is being compromised then it uses 'temporary disabling' feature. Hence, you don’t need to over react, but try to understand the scenario. Your access to compromised account will be restored within 48 hours after due security process.
However, If you are redirected from a sign-in page to a page containing message [like the above screenshot] that your account has been disabled for ‘perceived violation of TOS’ and you are asked to fill a ‘contact us’ form then that’s going to be a little problematic as there is no guarantee that your account will be restored. Well, the first step should always be to fill the ‘Contact Us’ form and tell them that you have gone through all relevant TOS and Policies, and will henceforth follow it strictly. You should also ask them to tell you a specific reason behind this decision. Didn’t get any response? Repeat this procedure after every 48 hours.
The next step should be to get your Gmail account back. Don’t visit Adsense or other help forums. First try to get Gmail back which will automatically allow you access to Adsense and other products. Visit Gmail help forum and post a question asking for help. Try to persuade a Top Contributor to ping your thread. Always remember to discuss only about Gmail. Don’t disclose there that Adsense and other products (if this is the scenario with you) are also linked with this account. Discuss about the personal problems that you are facing by this decision. Discuss about the huge cache of personal data that is lying there in your Gmail Account. If a Top Contributor will ping your thread to a Google Staff then rest assured your account will be enabled within 48 hours [business days].
However, remember this procedure will not work if you have seriously violated TOS and product specific policies of Google. For Example, if your Adsense Account is found to be indulging in ‘Click Fraud’ then Google may disable your entire account and will not restore your access.
For those who haven’t violated any TOS or Policies, the above-mentioned way is the best source to restore access. I personally did that and I got access to my account within 20 hours.
Trusting Google is not that much easy. Cloud computing is OK, but remember to keep your important data out of Gmail.
